Isabel was born at Melbourne, Australia. Her father is Australian and her mother Swiss. Her family has lived in Switzerland, Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community within the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and Jabiru in Switzerland. With her sister Nina her schooling was in schools where First Nations and other children of different cultures were included. Isabel is currently living in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel has been involved with acting since her elementary school years. After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology, she pursued a degree in drama at the Victoria College of Arts. She also recently completed a course in the Perdekamp emotional approach. Her auditions were not for any roles before her agent discovered herself in the year 2002. Isabel is an avid advocate for animal rights and has worked with many environmental organisations. She was a proud PatronAmbassador for Melbourne's Human Rights and Arts Film Festival HRAFF for over 10 years until the year 2020. Isabel was selected as the spokesperson for several campaigns and became brand ambassadors because she's an environmentalist and ethically conscious person who is committed to issues and social justice.
